Abigail moved to DC from Tennessee in 2021 to work as a registered nurse and immediately wanted to find a community in the DMV. She founded CGWWDC in March 2022 and has been amazed by how much this organization has grown! Abigail is now working in health policy at the National Governors Association and enjoys spending time with friends and family outside of work. Her favorite CGWWDC activity is walking on the National Mall at sunset in the summer.

Anna moved to DC in 2018 and works in nonprofit consulting. She joined CGWWDC because the group combines three of her favorite things - walking, exploring DC, and meeting amazing women who live around the city. Gabrielle is a DMV native that currently calls northeast DC home. She joined CGWWDC as a way to connect with women in her neighborhood and loves how easy it is to connect with women with similar interests. In her free time, Gabrielle can be found grabbing a drink at Bar Elena or catching a movie at Alamo Drafthouse.

Sarah moved to DC from south Florida in 2021 to complete her Master of Engineering at GWU. She didn't know anyone when she moved, and CGWWDC gave her the most amazing friends and a passion for DC and helping others connect! Her favorite place in DC is Rock Creek Park and her favorite CGWWDC events are the morning bagel walks!

Alexia has been in the DMV since the summer of 2022, and works for Alpha Xi Delta Headquarters supporting the northeast chapters. When researching the DC area prior to moving, she found CGWWDC and was thrilled to begin attending events to find a community and explore the city. Outside of work and CGWW, Alexia enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Originally from the Philly area, Victoria moved to the DMV in 2013 for school. Victoria joined CGWWDC in July 2022 after a Mall Walk and immediately loved the sense of community the group brings its members. Outside of CGWWDC, Victoria loves reading, baking, and hot yoga. You can also catch her exploring the DMV’s art museums.

Shannon Twiss moved to DC to attend law school in 2019. Although her home state of Minnesota still has a special place in her heart, she fell in love with DC and decided to stay for good. Shannon joined CGWWDC to find local community after graduating. She loves biking around the city, and is passionate about fostering strong supportive female friendships.
